The following drawings and reflections capture the characters, conversations, and atmosphere born from many long afternoons at the Ship Inn — a small, legendary tavern on the Kowloon side of Hong Kong. Frequented by hard-drinking locals, expatriates, and wandering philosophers, the Ship Inn served as an informal gathering place where bold opinions, questionable wisdom, and colorful personalities mixed freely. These sketches preserve the spirit of that place and the people who animated it.
